Fire Safety Certificates are required for all new buildings, (with the exception of individual dwelling houses) and for material changes of use, material alterations  or extensions to existing buildings subject to specific criteria. A Disability Access Certificate (DAC) is generally required whenever a Fire safety Certificate is, refer to our DAC page for more info:

Local Authority Application Fee Rates:

Standard Fire Safety Certificate:           €2.90 per m2 (min. €125, max. €12,500)

Seven Day Notice:                                   €5.80 per m2 (min. €250, max. €25,000)

Regularisation Certificate:                     €11.60 per m2 (min. €500, max. €50,000)

note: reduced rates apply for agricultural buildings
